How a Municipal Solid Waste Batch Pyrolysis Plant Works

1. Pre-sorted organic-rich MSW (food and textile waste) is fed into the reactor; glass and metal are removed by the separation and screening system.
2. The reactor is sealed and heated indirectly in a low-oxygen, anaerobic environment, so the flame never contacts the waste.
3. The first pyrolysis stage cracks the organic material and releases a syngas-rich vapour.
4. A second gasification-enhancement stage raises the gas calorific value and stabilises fuel quality.
5. Flue gas passes through an integrated H2S scrubber to remove hydrogen sulphide, then an acid-base spray tower and adsorption tower, before discharge under the project's permitted limits.

The system runs as a closed loop, cutting direct landfill of organic waste and relieving environmental pressure.

Series capacity covers 1-15 t/d; PB-10/12/15 are the three standard models. Main reactor: horizontal rotation at 0.4 rpm, circulating-water cooling, external gear transmission, noise ≤85 dB, installation footprint approx. 35 m × 20 m, 4-6 operators per shift.
